Why Start A New Blog When You Could Revive The Old?

Well, here I am again. More than a year since the last update. My, how time passes!

The main thing I've been involved in recently is the BEDS production of Julius Ceasar, which ended a pretty successful run about a week ago. Rave reviews in Seren and everything. I got two play two characters, Trebonius and Messala. (They were of no relation despite looking like twins in matching outfits in our production. :P) Messala in particular was a lot of fun to play, even though nearly every scene he spoke in had him reporting or discovering someone's death. As Kerry pointed out, he ended up being like some sort of morbid tour guide. Ah well, just turn up the grief and the anguised shouting! The rest of the cast was awesome. We have so many amazing freshers this year.

This weekend was the Christmas Dance show. The first show I've actually seen in JP without having had involvement in it since Reduced Shakespeare back in June. It was actually pretty amazing, especially when you spotted a few people who seemed to be in every other dance. How the heck do they do it? If I had to raise a criticism it would be towards the compéres. Being heckled by people on stage for not applauding loudly enough was a bit jarring. No matter how good the performance, applause is tecnhically at the audience's discretion. Having said that, everyone did really really well.

It's only a couple of weeks to the Uni closes for Christmas. Less than a month after term starts again, one of my best friends is going abroad until September. Another of my best friends is contemplating spending a year abroad FROM September. And yet another is already abroad, in Germany. I'm visiting her over New Year while she's actually in Britain, which should be fun.

Anyway, what is it about my friends fleeing the country all over the place? :p
